Post-Production
The Alba Collective - Fashion Human Rights
This project's mission was to inform the world on the subject of human and econominc rights for women who work in area of the manufacturing of clothing; hence it's name Fashion Human Rights. Celebrated magnum Photographer Susan Meiselas filmed the embroiderers in India and helped develop this important project. Eric Marciano filmed founding Alba member Jacqueline Bhabha and edited the video.
Royalty Pharma Video Series
American Montage was asked by long time client Alex Von Perfall (BMG) to post-produce a series of videos about Royalty Pharma. Libby Fabricatore worked her magic on this important project. Mr. Legorreta founded Royalty Pharma in 1996, after creating and managing two “proof of principle” investment vehicles in 1993 and 1994 that invested in royalty interests in two leading biotechnology products. Since its inception in 1996, Royalty Pharma has expanded the traditional parameters that define a pharmaceutical company. By focusing on intellectual property - the key to premium pricing and profits in the pharmaceutical industry - Royalty Pharma has become the global leader in the acquisition of royalty interests. Royalty Pharma has assembled a well-diversified and well-balanced portfolio of royalties in leading biopharmaceutical products achieving rapid and profitable growth with a managed risk profile.
Pfizer
The passion and commitment of AMI associate Frank Linkoff to both his client and the filmmaking process resulted in a collaboration which yielded a powerful and striking series of videos for Pfizer's annual sales convention and the integration of Pfizer with Warner Lambert.
Projects of such importance have to have the production value of a Hollywood blockbuster and the inspiration of a Gospel concert.
AMI, working for Devlin Hair Productions, Frank Linkoff and Executive Producer David Darby, did it.
Trans Fair International: Santiago's Story
Magnum photographer, Susan Mieselas and filmmaking partners Dick Rodgers and Alfred Guzzetti came to Eric in search of his visual story telling skills and social understanding. They provided American Montage with the spectacular and moving footage from Nicaragua about the Ford Foundation funded reform program for Fair Trade produced by Paul Rice's organization Transfair.
The Fair Trade program assists farmers in the selling of their coffee beans at a price that's equitable for both the farmer and the consumer. Eric's eye for structure and beauty make this story of controlling one's destiny a documentary that is both captivating and enlightening.
Budget Rent A Car
Joe Byrnes of Manahattoons Animation has post-produced all of his animated films at American Montage. After he completed his imaginative work for Cliff Freeman he recommended AMI to the agency known for its biting humor and unique perspective.
This film is funny. Intended as an in-house corporate film, it transcends itself by taking the CEO of Budget Rent-A-Car, Sandy Miller and turning him into an animated provocateur. He barrels down the highway knocking over competitors and taking his pals for a golf game in his trunk. This 35mm animation had to work with video that explains all the services that the company provides. The sharp editing and well-paced action makes this more like pure entertainment and less of a corporate communication.
Volvo: The Saint
Volvo: The Saint was a project brought to us by Jenifer Brunetti of MDI Creative.
The goal was to tie-in the new Volvo sports car with the film "The Saint" and make it look exciting and beautiful.
This piece won a 1997 Telly Award.
TV Guide
Every year, TV Guide creates a program which is an overview
of the season's new shows. AMI's task was to give proper exposure to each show in the program.
The piece highlights the hard work which went into each and every series. It was interesting to see which of them
survived and became hits.
The choreographer and filmmaker Dean McFlicker spent a summer working at AMI and brought us this large project.
